Na noite de domingo, as 20 horas 21 minutos a guarnição de Bombeiro Militare foi acionada para atender um acidente que ocorreu na BR 158 saída para Água Boa.
Segundo informado por terceiros, dois homens que estavam andando às margens da BR foram atingidos por um carro que se evadiu do local do acidente sem prestar socorro, provocando a morte de um Homem identificado apenas como Romário que não resistiu ao traumatismo craniano e cervical, vindo a óbito no local do acidente. O outro homem identificado como Welinton Alves Farias foi atingido de raspão no braço e não apresentava ferimentos graves.
A Polícia Militar esteve no local sinalizando e tentando identificar o carro envolvido. A Polícia civil, Polícia Rodoviária Federal e POLITEC também estiveram no local do acidente.
Com a chegada da Politec a Guarnição retornou ao quartel da 4ª CIBM.
