O vereador Edmundo do Banco Safra se encontra internado numa U.T.I. do Hospital de Urgências da região Noroeste de Goiânia – HUGOL.
Ele se envolveu em um acidente de carro na BR 158 próximo ao perímetro urbano de Nova Xavantina, no ultimo dia 12/07, vindo a capotar sua camionete hilux varias vez na pista.
No acidente, fraturou várias costelas e foi conduzido para o hospital municipal de Nova Xavantina, como houve complicações respiratória devido a perfuração pulmonar, teve que ser transferido.
Os médicos que o acompanham controlaram uma hemorragia interna e o vereador segue em estado grave estável na U.T.I.
