Com perspectiva de fomentar a economia e mostrar para o Brasil e para o mundo as belezas naturais de Nova Xavantina, município localizado a 653 KMs da capital cuiabana, que o prefeito João Bang (PSB), por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Turismo, Meio Ambiente e Agricultura Familiar, não tem medido esforços para atrair os olhares para o município.
Recentemente o município lançou um portfólio com cachoeiras, praias, hotéis, passeios e outras atrações tanto no município quanto nos distritos, inclusive com o mapa pictórico.
De acordo com o prefeito está é uma ação extraordinária. “Pela primeira vez o município volta os olhares ao turismo, começamos pelo cadastramento no segmento, e vamos investir em capacitação profissional, uma maneira de fortalecer a economia e tornar nosso município cada vez mais apreciado tanto por brasileiros quanto por estrangeiros”, ressaltou João Bang.
O prefeito lembrou o sofrimento de muitas famílias com a pandemia, ele afirma que o turismo é uma das alternativas para amenizar a crise. “É muito triste ver um pai, uma mãe de família, e também jovens sem seus empregos, muitos foram atingidos com a pandemia, organizar o setor vai ajudar essas pessoas”, ratificou o prefeito.
